Inchalene Designer Showhouse

The Designer Showhouse at Inchalene, benefiting the Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities, is ready to be revealed this week! The anticipation is great and I for one am excited to see how the amazing designers have transformed this historic estate. Inchalene, meaning house at the edge of the woods, was built in the early 1920′s for Eleanor H. Boyd, mother of James Boyd. As locals already know, James Boyd’s home, Weymouth, sits right next door. The estate itself, in the English Cottage style, is truly beautiful and impressive but the setting and grounds, designed by Olmstead Partners, are what set the stage for the breathtaking manor. A work of art in our midst.

As a designer, I can fully appreciate the distinguished group of talented interior designers who are graciously and diligently decorating each room. Designer Showhouses are enormous undertakings for these designers and for everyone involved and as a community, we should be so grateful for their efforts in raising money for a cause so dear to our hearts, the Weymouth Center. Let’s show our support by participating in the many events available and beginning this Friday, May 6th, with a preview party. Having a Designer Showhouse of this caliber and featuring the talent of some of the southeast’s most impressive designers, is a big deal! I am thrilled to be able to support this endeavor and I hope everyone will join me!

Please visit their website for a full list of events plus ticket info: www.weymouthshowhouse.org

And enjoy these preview pictures! A taste of the treasures that lie inside!
