The 7th Annual St. Joseph of the Pines/Coalition Golf Classic is set to take place Monday, July 26, 2010 at National Golf Club in Pinehurst.  The event is a fundraiser that benefits the Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care located in Southern Pines.

Individual player spots, four player teams and sponsorship opportunities are still available.  Here's the dig:

The Moore County Farmers Market is up and running at full speed.  We were able to see first hand this past Saturday in downtown Southern Pines the fresh produce home grown by our local farmers.  Plus, our farmers are so nice and fun to talk to and always have great suggestions and cooking tips.

Don't forget...shop local, the Farmers Market is the best deal on produce in town.  See below the schedule & locations or visit our local calendar.

It has been a while since the last date night, but the wait was well worth it.   Recently, Wes took me on a date night out in the Sandhills, and our first stop was for some fine American Fusion food from restaurant 195. The meal hailed as one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten in Moore County. I’m serious. The meal (and the date) was so amazing that I forgot to take pictures!!

We headed to the Animal Center of Moore County and were amazed at the size, cleanliness and service at the Center and encourage you to visit if you haven’t already.

After speaking with Alfred Carter, Director of Animal Control, we learned that as this year draws to an end, they will likely have over 1300 pet adoptions!

Here are some other facts that we learned in our visit:

Tomorrow (11.03.09) is an opportunity for you to make a difference in your local community.  Elections will be taking place across America which means it's our time as citizens to simply express our opinions through the power of a vote.
